Tony playing his 'tiple', an instrument sometimes called a '10 string ukelele'. It has 4 courses, strung 2/3/3/2. It suited Tony's use of open tunings and produced a sound something like a mandolin, but a lot stronger. Tony used it on many recordings.

This picture was taken in Third Eye Centre, Glasgow in 1979. Tony was supporting the Glasgow band Kentigern.
